Rifty's flapjack
Until someone else contributes to the website, you're stuck with my ramblings. Having made a fresh batch, it's time I shared the secret...

Rifty's rides : Egglestone Moors
Another circular ride that starts within the forest but takes you out onto the moors. 19.2 miles, 2325ft of climbing with a punishing grass climb !

Rifty's rides : Doctors Gate
A circular ride from the forest that takes in the Weardale Way and some moorland roads : 21.8 miles, 2821ft of climbing.

The Hamsterley Half Century - Rifty takes on his evil creation, again...
This is a 50km (31.1 miles) circular route, boasting a lung/leg busting 1300m (4300ft) of climbing (and descending). Dare you take it on ?

Superb new skills area goes live
With the opening of 'The Loop', Hamsterley now has arguably the best skills area of any mountain biking centre in the country. Give it a go, soon !

Mountain biking is a potentially hazardous activity carrying a significant risk. It should only be undertaken with a full understanding of all inherent risks. The guidelines at forest trailheads must always be used in conjunction with the benefit of your own experience, intuition and careful judgement.
