Rifty's Flapjack
Until someone else contributes to the website, you're stuck with
my ramblings - let this be a lesson to you all :-)
Over the last decade, I've fostered and refined a flapjack recipe
which has kept me (and others) alive in some extreme conditions
: I always have some on me when out on the bike...
Ingredients

500g porridge oats
-
250g margerine
-
120g brown sugar
-
4 tablespoons golden syrup

One (flat) teaspoon salt

One (flat) teaspoon ground cinnamon

As many chopped glace cherries as the mixture will hold
Cooking instructions

Turn on oven to gas mark 4 or 180 degrees

Toast half of the oats until golden brown

Melt everything but the oats together
-
Stir in all the oats (toasted and non-toasted)

Pour mixture into a greased tin

Cook for 10-15 minutes

When cooled, cut into squares, enjoy in the middle of nowhere
