2008 AGM
Monday 7th April, 6.30pm, Hamsterley village hall
I am writing to invite you to the Annual General Meeting of Hamsterley
Trailblazers to be held in Hamsterley Village Hall on Monday 7
April 2008 at 6.30pm and attach the Agenda for the meeting.
A couple of new points for this year’s AGM:
Committee and Officer Membership: To widen up committee and officer
membership and give those who cannot attend the AGM an opportunity
to have a say in the composition of the committee and its officers,
we are inviting nominations in advance of the meeting as well
as actually on the day. If you would like to serve on the committee,
either as a member or an officer, or if you would like to nominate
someone to serve please let me know as soon as possible. Please
see agenda for list of appointments. We will still take nominations
on the day, but want to make committee membership as wide as possible,
particularly since we have so many new members who we would love
to see more involved with club activities.
Trail names: We really want trail names at Hamsterley to mean
something, especially trails Trailblazers are building –
if you have any suggestions for these can you let me or Mat Clark
know in advance of the AGM? This particularly applies to the new
section of red route being built.
Rider Photos: As part of the evening we would like to show photos
of places members have cycled or things they have done in 2007/08
– if you have any photos you would like to share, please
let me know as soon as possible.
As in previous years we will be inviting representatives of other
relevant organisations to attend and will therefore be looking
for a good turnout from our membership to show how strong mountain
biking is in this area!
We will be providing refreshments so I would be very grateful
if you could me know as soon as possible whether or not you are
able to attend.
(Hamsterley Village Hall is located in centre of Hamsterley Village
– go straight through village, hall is on right hand side,
just before duck pond by village green – about 300 yards
after turn for Hamsterley Forest.)
